Labour MP backs Rooney's ?300,000 weekly Man Utd wage

Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls says Manchester United
striker Wayne Rooney deserves his ?300,000 weekly wage.
Balls says Rooney deserves the money as its 'genuinely the talent getting pay'.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live's Pienaar's Politics on Sunday night: "Wayne Rooney
now gets paid more a week than all of us probably, certainly me, get paid a year.
"On the other hand I guess there's only one Wayne Rooney
and he plays for Manchester United, he could go anywhere in the world and maybe that's genuinely the talent getting pay.
"And somebody who has a great idea, like Steve Jobs, who invents an iPhone and it gets sold all around the world - in the end you can't say we're going to cut if off at some point."
